Mews sells what it calls an operating system for hotels: the property system, channel manager, booking engine, embedded payments, revenue management, guest messaging, kiosks and housekeeping in one plan, Mews Pro, priced per room by quote. It says 15,000+ hoteliers use it. LobbyMind is a newer property system for guest houses, hotels and resorts, with published prices, a channel manager in every plan, and a guest portal and copilot built in. A hotel that wants payments, POS and revenue management from one vendor today will find more in Mews. A smaller property that wants a known price and a 30-day trial may prefer LobbyMind.
The table above has the facts. Every Mews claim links to Mews' own pages, checked on the date at the end of this page. Where LobbyMind lacks something, the table says so.
Price and how you buy
LobbyMind's prices are on the page. Starter is one price per property for up to 15 rooms, from USD 29 a month. Growth costs from USD 6 a room a month with a USD 99 minimum, and adds unlimited properties, loyalty tiers, offers and the API. Enterprise is quoted.
Mews says it is priced per room, that the prices it shows are indicative of a 10-room property, and that its sales team writes a quote for each property. To get one you fill in a form and book a 30-minute call. There are three plans: Mews Pro, Mews Core for less complex properties, and Enterprise for multi-brand groups. Its pricing page answers how Mews Core differs from Pro in its questions section; read it before you ask for a quote.
What comes in the box
Mews Pro, as its pricing page lists it, includes property management, revenue management, a channel manager with a 400-channel network, guest technology, payments, a booking engine, business intelligence, housekeeping powered by Flexkeeping, and round-the-clock support with Mews University training. A hospitality POS and bookable spaces and amenities are offered beside the plan.
LobbyMind includes the front desk, reservations, rates, folios, housekeeping, the guest web portal, statutory exports and the copilot on every plan, and the channel manager connection to 78 channels. The booking engine and a property website are add-ons priced on request. There is no revenue management tool with market data: staff set rate plans with seasons, day-of-week prices, derived rates and restrictions in one rate calendar.
Payments and point of sale
Mews embeds payments in the guest journey: card details are taken once and cover every charge. Its POS runs in the same system, so a restaurant bill can be charged to the room.
LobbyMind takes card payments through one gateway today, the Bank of Maldives (BML) gateway, by pay link. It cannot hold a card and charge it later, because BML does not offer that. There is no POS: guests can order from outlet menus in the guest app, and the charge posts to the folio. If your restaurant is a big part of revenue, this matters.
Guests and staff
Mews lists AI messaging on WhatsApp and SMS, self-serve kiosks and digital keys.
LobbyMind's guest web portal lets guests check in, ask for things and order from their phone, in 8 languages including right-to-left Arabic and Dhivehi. You change its layout and content in a builder without an app update. The WhatsApp inbox is planned and not yet available. There are no kiosks or digital keys.
For staff, LobbyMind's housekeeping runs from the portal on any phone: room conditions from dirty to inspected, task lists built from arrivals and departures, and maintenance on the same list. The copilot answers questions on live data and drafts replies, and anything it would change waits for staff approval.
Accounting and integrations
Mews lists 1,000+ integrations in its Marketplace with no connection fees, and publishes API documentation for connector, POS, booking engine and channel manager partners.
LobbyMind's App store is small and specific: QuickBooks Online and Zoho Books receive invoices, credit notes, payments and supplier bills, either one by one or as one journal per business day after the night audit. Developers on Growth and Enterprise get an API and signed webhooks.
If you already run Mews
LobbyMind is also sold as a guest experience and concierge layer on top of a property system you keep. A resort that is happy with Mews at the front desk can talk to us about that instead of switching. See the plans and ask.
How to choose
- If you need embedded payments, a POS or revenue management from one vendor, Mews covers those today and LobbyMind does not.
- If you want to see the price before a call, and try the system for 30 days with your own rooms, LobbyMind lets you.
- Check the channels you sell on against both lists.
- Ask each vendor what a year costs for your room count, with every add-on you need.
You can also compare LobbyMind with Cloudbeds or with Little Hotelier.
Where Mews fits better
- You want payments embedded in the stay and a POS in the same system, and you are outside the Maldives, where LobbyMind has no payment gateway yet.
- You need revenue management, kiosks and digital keys from the same vendor.
- You rely on many connected tools. Mews lists 1,000+ integrations; the LobbyMind App store is much smaller.
- You run a multi-brand group and want a vendor that shapes an Enterprise setup around it.
