iCal calendar sync for hotels
One calendar per room. No room sold twice.
Each room imports the calendar of Airbnb, Booking.com or Vrbo and publishes its own. It blocks double bookings without a channel manager, and it is included.
What it does
- An imported booking becomes a block on the room. It counts in availability and shows on the tape chart.
- Nights when the room type has nothing left are published as Reserved, so the last unit cannot be sold twice.
- Nothing about the guest leaves LobbyMind: no names, references or amounts.
- Overlaps with a stay are shown as conflicts for you to decide, never overridden silently.
What syncs, and which way
| Data | Direction |
|---|---|
| Bookings and blocks from the channel’s calendar | Into LobbyMind |
| Your stays and blocks, as Reserved and Blocked events | Out of LobbyMind |
| Sold-out nights, published as Reserved | Out of LobbyMind |
Set it up
Open Apps, then Calendar sync, and add a feed.
Pick the room and the channel, paste the channel’s calendar link and choose how often to check, from 5 minutes to 6 hours.
Copy the room’s export link and paste it into the channel’s calendar settings.
Watch the feed: it shows its last and next sync, errors and conflicts to ignore or fix.
A few things you might be wondering.
Is this a channel manager?
No. It syncs availability only, per room: no rates, no restrictions and no booking import. It can run beside a channel manager connection.
How fast does it update?
LobbyMind checks each feed as often as you choose. Channels refresh an imported calendar every one to six hours, so a change can take that long to reach them.
What if a feed fails?
After three failed fetches the feed shows an error and your manager role is notified. A new conflict notifies them too.
